Silvia has made a great name for herself in BCN with a style all of her own: the pencil sketch. No one can deny her success or her ability with a pencil. How far can one get with a pencil and notebook in the illustration scene?

Hi Derry,

I really hope there are great oportunities in the illustration scene for sketchers!!!! And Silvia´s work is simply awsome (I´m not surprised about her success).

I think is important to find people like this because they work on the roots: the better is the sketch the better is the final art... I´m not discovering America with it but I think, with all this digitalized world of desing/art, we´re all losing the art of drawing (none of the designers I know are able to draw a single line!).

Anyway I´m just begining, I´m not prefesional at all, but... I encourage everyone to take a pen/pencil, a notebook and start sketching. Then you will apreciate it more, for sure. Leave you an example from my notebook :P
